Michael Cresap Valentine, 73, of Monticello retired farmer, truck driver, engineer, and mechanic passed on June 24, 2015 at the Kirby Medical Center, Monticello.
A private family gathering will be held in memory of Mick at his home and requests no service at this time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mary Valentine.
Mike or "Mick" was born April 17, 1942 to the parents of Elsworth and Caroline Cresap Valentine. From that union were also Michaels’ siblings, Raymond "Doc" (Cindy), Romana (deceased), Barb (Chalmer) Hinton, Marilyn (Larry) Scott, Morris (Betty), Paula Valentine, and Mary Lou Valentine (deceased). Along with a step-brother Hale Valentine (Deceased).
On October 27, 1962 Mick married Mary Elizabeth Baker from Cerro Gordo. From that union Mick leaves three children; Michael Kent Valentine (Julie James Valentine), Wendy Lou Valentine (Mike Brady) and Amanda Lynn Valentine, grandchildren; Olivia Brady and Katie Valentine.
Mick had such a love for gardening that it allowed him to share many vegetables with family and friends. The family of Mick gives praise and thankfulness for his unconditional love and so many memories to cherish.
