PORT HURON -- Geneva S. Manchester, 75, died Thursday, July 13, 1989, in the Evangelical Home of Port Huron after a long illness. She was born March 23, 1914, in Fort Henry, Tenn., and was a Kimball Township resident for 50 years. She married Arthur J. Manchester Dec. 3, 1946, in Detroit.

Mrs. Manchester was a member of the Marysville United Methodist Church and was a St. Clair County 4-H leader for 27 years.

She is survived by her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeryl A. and Jacquelyn Manchester of Houghton; a daughter and son-in-law, LaVerne and Antoinette "Toni" Masson of Saginaw; six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jacob and Jocelyn A. Manchester of Houghton, Vincent and Ann Masson of Harper Woods, Paul Masson and Joanne Milburn, both of Saginaw; three sisters, Kathleen Williams of Paris, Tenn., Leola Rumph of Sterling Heights and Ina Mae Franklin of Dover, Tenn.; two brothers , Loy Alton Sykes of Granite City, Ill., and Bobby Gene Sykes of Clarksville, Tenn.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery.
