Joyce Louise Jolliff (nee Dothager) 86, of Granite City, formerly of Patoka, and Centralia IL, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Fountain View Manor Memory Care in Granite City.
She was born on February 10, 1934 the daughter of Alfred and Rotha (Kern) Dothager in Fayette County.
She married W. Wesley Jolliff on July 4, 1953 in Patoka and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2001.

Survivors that hold fond memories of Joyce include her daughter Sheila and husband John; grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings R. Dothager and wife J., A. Dothager, Jean and husband Jim and Kathy, brother-in-law, N. Jolliff and wife M.; and sister-in-law, Betty (Jolliff).

Along with her husband of 48 years, W. Wesley Jolliff, Mrs. Jolliff was preceded in death by both her parents; sister, Judy Seibert, brothers Floyd and Carroll Jolliff; and sons, Scott Alan Jolliff and Donald Jolliff.

Joyce and her husband called Patoka their home and were proud to have raised their family there. Joyce was employed at Warren G. Murray Center as a tech, switchboard operator, and a seamstress and was a loyal employee. She was a faithful member of Patoka Christian Church and Greenview Christian Church in Centralia. Joyce had a green thumb and worked diligently in her gardens growing beautiful flowers and flavorful vegetables. She enjoyed feeding the songbirds that visited her yard, finding their presence brought her joy. Joyce was loving and protective with her family. Her faith, kindness, and can do spirit will be remembered and carried on in all those she knew and loved.

Day Macz Funeral Home in Sandoval is honored to be assisting the family of Joyce Jolliff with arrangements.
A private graveside service will be held at Patoka City Cemetery.
Family and Friends will be invited to a memorial service to be held at the Patoka Christian Church at a future date to be determined.
