Edwin was a direct descendant of John and Betty More's Robert line. Edwin was the fourth of five children born to Henry Dwight More and Elizabeth Cockburn More. Edwin was raised at Brooklyn, New York where his father was a clerk. Edwin married to Isabelle Hildegarde Sheehan on 22 January 1906 at Atlanta, Georgia. They made their home at that place where Edwin was an auto and trailer dealer and later an auto accessories distributor. His wife died in 1942 and some time after that he married next to widow Lora R. Donegan Winslett. Edwin had no children from either marriage.
