Jess Harold Joseph Jones, 85, passed away Wednesday January 27, 2021. Jess was born in Melville, LA on March 30, 1935. He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1958 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation he served in the US Army for three years. He worked for NASA at Marshall Space Flight Center for thirty-five years and retired in 1995. Following retirement, he worked part-time for AI Signal Research.

Jess was a perpetual adoration adorer at Holy Spirit Catholic Chapel for 33 years and an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Tolson Jones, Sr., his mother, Lorina Mary Loumiet Jones, sisters, Lorraine Marie Fairchild (Amos) of Kuttabul, Queensland, Australia and Rita Mae Legler (George) of Pittsburg, PA, a brother, George Tolson Jones, Jr. (Catherine) of Baton Rouge, LA and sister-in-law, Elda Jones of Melville LA.
