Born July 7, 1934, in Allensville, he was a son of the late Mary E. (Henry) Yoder and John W. Yoder Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Darvin, Leonard D., Paul L. and Glen R. and his wife, Edna R. (Edgin) Yoder, who passed away Feb. 8, 2019.
He is survived by: children, Leon G. Yoder and wife, Annette, of Mill Creek, Rose Leonhart and husband, Robert, of San Antonio, Texas, Sharon D. Yoder, of Allensville, Larry J. Yoder and wife, Jean, of Mill Creek, Raymond L. Yoder and wife, Verna, of Alllensville and Gregory S. Yoder and wife, Rose, of Allensville; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Lester M. Yoder, of Phoenix, Marlin W. Yoder, of Belleville and Gilbert L. Yoder, of Belleville.
John retired from Ford, New Holland, in 1990, after 18 years of press and shear and 18 years in plant service.
He enjoyed camping and woodworking.
A graveside service will be private and at the convenience of the family at Otelia Mennonite Cemetery, Mount Union, with Pastor George “Buddy” Baird officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Henderson Funeral Home Inc., 3813 West Main Street, Belleville, PA 17004.
