Nancy was born June 2, 1941 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of John and Alice (Keenan) Kensinger. Nancy was united in marriage to Harlen F. James on March 20, 1961 in Morrison, Illinois.
Nancy was a homemaker and loving mother - she loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Nancy was a Christian who loved the Lord.
Nancy enjoyed baking and cooking, and all the things that make for a warm and welcoming home. She was outgoing and known for her spunky fun personality. Above all, she loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.
Nancy is survived by two daughters - Alice James of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jackie (Michael) Nelson of Clinton, IA; 3 sons - Jesse (Lourdes) James of Montclair, CA, Frank (Mary) James of Clinton, IA, and Tony James of Clinton, IA, with a son she didn't raise, Mark Hall from a previous brief marriage; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; seven brothers - Jack and Brent Kensinger and Tom, Bob, Jim, Howard and Steve Coon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 54 years Harlen F. James, a great-grandson - Gavin J. Milder and three sisters - Sally Petersen, Janice Coon and Cheryl Coon.
