Mr. Keith A Johnston "Tony", of Stoutsville, MO., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Tony was born on October 9, 1960 in St. Louis, MO., to the late William and Anna (nee: Ward) Johnston. He had reached the age of 59 years.
Tony was united in marriage to Karen Renee Hutcherson on May 18, 1985 in St. Louis, MO. To this union, two children were born. Tony enjoyed spending time with his family. He and Karen enjoyed going to Mark Twain Lake together. They enjoyed swimming and fishing and often referred to this as their "Happy Place". Tony was also an avid coin collector and loved to ride his Harley. He spent many years as a Reserve Police Officer for the city of St. John.
Tony Johnston was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna; one brother, Bill Johnston; one sister, Beverly Armstrong; and one brother in law, Kelly Russ. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; two daughters, Jessica Wells and husband Dave, Lindsey Fletcher and husband Kyle; one grandson, Axton; four siblings, Karen Lumley and husband Larry, Debbie Russ, Mark Johnston and wife Diane, Greg Johnston; mother and father in-law, Bobby and Lucille Hutcherson; sister in law, Kim Boyland and husband Mike; many other family members and friends.
A visitation for Tony Johnston will be held on Wednesday April 8, 2020 at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Memorial donations are preferred to Backstoppers of Missouri, c/o Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main Street, Warrenton, MO 63383.
