Beverly B. Meyer, Evanston, IL was born in Chicago to Hazel and Lyman Bennett on December 21, 1926 and died March 15, 2020. She graduated from North Park high school in 1944. She married John Meyer Jr. (deceased 2008) in 1951. Mother of Debra (Jim) Speer of Des Plaines, IL, son Michael (Nancy) Meyer of Lawrence, KS and, granddaughter Mavis Meyer, of Chicago, IL. During her life she was a teacher at Bethany Lutheran Church, a long time LPN at Evanston Hospital and the Presbyterian Home and after retirement was a volunteer at the Lincoln Park Zoo for many years. She was always very active, loved to travel, was an avid reader, and had an uncanny zest for life. She had a special love for Rock-A-Bye Island, Lake Vermilion, MN where she spent most of her summers during youth and vacationed throughout her life.

A celebration of life gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
