Mrs. Ira Elaine Minton Morris, age 79, passed away at her residence on April 6, 2020 following an extended illness. Mrs. Morris was born February 22, 1941 in Hazlehurst, Georgia to Jimmy and Lois Horne Minton.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, and both her brothers, Mack Minton and Johnny Minton, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Stafford Morris and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Eureka Baptist Church and was retired from Hazlehurst Mills after serving as secretary for over 38 years.
Due to the Caronavirus epidemic, Graveside funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Charles Carter officiating.
