Mark Daniel Garrett, 60 of Coldwater passed away on April 02, 2020, at Methodist University, in Memphis. He is survived by Cindy Anderson, his companion for 10 years, his son, Kevin Daniel Garrett, his daughter Valerie Garrett Hayes (Joe) and his granddaughter, Isabella (Bella) Marie Hayes. Brothers, Paul (Diana) Garrett & Mitchell (Michelle) Garrett. A gifted athlete, he played football, baseball, and track for Elliston Baptist Academy. He is a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, serving in Korea, and two tours in Iraq. He has worked for the V.A. Hospital in Memphis since his military retirement. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a public memorial service will be held at West TN State Veterans Cemetery, in Germantown, TN at a later date. His private funeral service will be live-streamed through Hernando Funeral Homes' Facebook page beginning at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2020. Memorial contributions in his honor may be sent to the American Diabetes Association.
