She was born April 5, 1947, in Fresno, Calif., the daughter of Catherine Dutra. Sharon grew up and attended school in Fresno, Calif. She married Larry Nix in 1978.
She currently worked for the State of Idaho, in the Vocational Education Fire Services Training Department.
Sharon had a passion to help others, giving of herself to charity fund raisers around the valley. She used her love of street rods to promote her efforts to raise money for Make-A-Wish, St. Luke's Cancer Kids, Special Olympics, PAYADA and many others.
Her love of street rodding combined with her outgoing personality made it easy to meet people and make many close friends. Sharon had the amazing ability to remember the names of those she met and the kind of street rod they drove. She rarely missed a car show or show 'n shine and was ever present with her camera as awards were presented, making sure such developed photo was hand delivered to the appropriate winner. Sharon and Larry were also winners, receiving many awards with their awesome 1954 5-window Chevy pick-up.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Larry and her son, Scott, both of Boise; two brothers and five sisters, all residing in California; and her pets. twp Brittiany's. Bo Bo and Annie, and an African Grey parrot, Davidson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine and one sister.
