She moved to Columbus, OH when she was seven years old. She is the daughter of Martha Degenhart Myers and James C. Myers, Sr. She graduated from North High School and Ohio State University and taught kindergarten for Columbus Public Schools. She moved to Boston, MA where she enjoyed a 26-year career in the administration offices of the First Church of Christ Scientist. After her retirement she worked in daycare nurseries. She returned to Columbus to be with family. This includes two nephews, Jon (Renee) Myers and Phil (Lori) Myers and one niece, Amy (Terry) Tibbals; 5 grand-nieces, Jennifer (Daniel) Guerra, Emily (Will) Barrett, and Emily and Katie and Liz Tibbals, and one great-nephew, Max Myers; great grand nephews and nieces, Dylan, Myers, Julian and Mia Guerra and Olive and Austin Barrett; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Carol Myers.
