Sarah Davis Brewer
July 13, 1980—July 4, 2018
Sarah Davis Brewer went into our Heavenly Father’s arms on July 4, 2018 after a long brave and hard fought battle with brain cancer. Born and raised in Elko she left to attend D&L Academy of Hair Design in Twin Falls, Idaho to become a Cosmetologist. She married Vincent Brewer in 2004 and remained in Idaho until 2008 when she returned home to Elko and her family. She began Styles by Sarah at Shear’s in 2009 and later moved to The Hairitage Salon. Sarah loved her work, her clients and made some very dear friends, touching many lives. Sarah could always be found planting and tending her trees and yard. She enjoyed camping and being on the boat with her dad. Sarah was somewhat of a rock hound, loved her music, family dinners and BBQ’s were always a favorite. She always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude.
Sarah was preceded in death by her father, Jim Davis; grandparents, Lyle and Kathryn Grunke and Jack and Aleene Davis; cousin, Michelle Hage Guzman and uncle, James Mullane. She is survived by her daughter, Alexis Brewer, who she considered her greatest achievement and loved with all her heart and soul; mother Susan Davis; brother, JD (Gina) Davis; stepfather, Rick Highland; stepmother, Carolyn Davis; nephews, Ian and Nathaniel Davis; niece, Tianna Davis; aunts and uncles, Marilyn and Eliseo Castaneda; Bob and Debbie Davis and Peter and Geraldine Mullane, as well as extended family members too numerous to name.
Services will be held at Burns Funeral Chapel on Sunday, July 15, at 1:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Horizon Hospice, 1250 Lamoille Highway, Ste. 413, Elko, Nevada 89801 or The Hope Lodge, 375 E. 100 S. Salt Lake City, UT 84111.
We wish to thank all the wonderful people at Genesis and Billie Jean Crawford of Horizon Hospice for the wonderful care that Sarah and our family received. To all you friends and volunteers out there a very special thank you.
