Clara Rose Hargenrader, 91, went to her final rest peacefully in her sleep at home on April 1st, 2020.
Clara Rose Hargenrader (Naccarato) was born on Sunday, October 14, 1928 and passed away on Wednesday, April 01, 2020. Clara Rose Hargenrader (Naccarato) was a resident of Pennsylvania at the time of passing.
She is preceded in death by parents, Carmine A. Naccarato and Mary (Rachfal) Naccarato, husband of 58 years, George Edward Hargenrader, a WWII veteran, great aunt and uncle, Sophia (Rachfal) and Thaddeus Stroz; beloved cousin, Sandra (Rachfal) Cristello; her great-grandparents, Ludwika ( Yacher) and Marcin Rachwal, Raffaela (Scanga) and Matteo Naccarato; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and a nephew, John K. Agnew. All from Pittsburgh, Pa.
Clara is survived by her two children, George Hargenrader, Janice ( Hargenrader) Tindle; son-in-law, Daniel E. Tindle; her sole sibling and friend, Donna B. Agnew; and several cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, their families and her devoted friends.
Clara was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 73 years. Her deep personal relationship with her Heavenly Father, Jehovah was the heart of her existence. She conducted countless Bible studies and maintained life long friendships with her students, particularly with Gloria Yardley who wrote faithfully to her every month. Clara spoke every chance she could about the promises of a Paradise earth where "death and pain would be no more" (Revelation 21:3,4) and the blessing of the ransom sacrifice of Christ Jesus.
She was a lifelong caregiver for her family members and saw them through their illnesses, a volunteer and accomplished vocalist with a beautiful soprano voice. She sang at weddings, in religious chorus, parties and was even in the Pittsburgh Civic Light opera chorus for a time. As a girl, she did a little song and dance taught by Gene Kelly and performed it in her father's nightclub in Pittsburgh. Her other childhood events were winning the La Marba's contest guessing the winner, round and exact time of the Lewis - Schmeling fight (there was a right up,) entering musical talent contests, and then the life event of suffering a traumatic brain injury when she was hit by garbage truck that left her with a forehead scar and a life long struggle with anxiety.
She was dearly loved by everyone. Her twinkling eyes, her beautiful smile and winning personality, instantly won the hearts of all those she met, including all those in the medical field, doctors, aids and nurses, calling her "Miss Clara" with great affection. Clara enjoyed mystery shows, music, writing rhymes and poetry, cards and word games, Polish genealogy and horses, especially a mini horse, Coco with whom she shared a special bond. Her new famIly senior rescue dog was a great joy in her last eight months.
In her final days, Morgan stayed with her on her bed. Clara was a bright light in everyone's lives and will be greatly missed. Her daughter was her advocate and caregiver and lovingly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, The Brain Injury Association of America or for those undergoing various trials in the world at JW.org in her dear mother's name.
