A native of Oconee County, Bobby was the son of the late James E. Farmer and Frances Hardy Farmer. He was the owner of Farmers Welding and Steel Erection and was a member of Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife Judy include four children: James (Stephanie) Farmer of Watkinsville, Jason (Misty) Farmer of Bogart, Christie (Rusty) Mitchell of Bogart, Jeremy (Annie) Farmer of Jefferson; sister: Mary Farmer Hardigree; grandchildren: Jessica, Joshua, Hannah, Lane, Landin, Madelyn, Dustin, Levi, McKenzie, Jackson and Jared.
A private graveside service was held at Oconee Memorial Park.
