Titanic Victim. Son of Alfred and Emily Ward, he was known as Bob to his friends. He served as an Engineer Officer aboard the Titanic.Arthur Ward served his apprenticeship with Mitchell Bros. of Romsey, Hampshire and J.I. Thornycroft & Co. of Southampton. In 1907 he went to sea in the Siamese gunboat, Suira Monthon.
He joined the White Star in 1908 and served on a number of ships, including the Olympic, prior to joining Titanic as Junior Assistant 4th. Engineer.
He was lost with the sinking of the Titanic, his body was never recovered.
