Mary was the daughter of William Andrew and Leitha Catherine (Judd) Rice of Baxter, Putnam County, Tennessee. She married Zechariah "Zack" Parks in Putnam County on Armistice Day - 7 April 1918. They moved to Simpson County, Kentucky where Mary died of Tuberculosis June 14, 1938. Her brother William Logan Rice was informant on her death certificate. The undertaker was Cole & Garrett funeral home in Goodlettsville, Tennessee which is less than a mile from Benevolent cemetery - the most likely place where she was buried.
