Shirley Jean Grady, 79,was the daughter of the late Adelbert and Madeline Sponable and a lifelong area resident. She worked as a bookkeeper with Georgia Pacific Lumber Co. for many years. Shirley was an acclaimed artist, whose paintings won many awards. She also loved dancing, playing golf and traveling. She had attained her life master in Bridge, enjoyed the company of her cats and was an accomplished musicia.
Her husband Raymond Joseph Grady predeceased her June 5, 1980. Shirley is survived by four children...; six grandchildren...; two great-grandchildren, Grady and Cooper Muscolino; and her sister Marjorie Bruno. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Grover, Ralph and Edward Sponable.
