Grace D. Gerard - Winterset
Services for Grace D Gerard, 97, Winterset, who died May 17 at her home, were held Wednesday, May 20, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Sunnyhill Cemetery at Adair.
Born at Annawan, Ill., On April 22, 1890, she was the daughter of George and Anna E. Harris Giles. She was married to Frank C. Douglas in February of 1912 and to Elbert Gerard in 1941. Both are deceased.
She lived in Winterset from 1948, moving from Illinois. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Douglas of Wenatchee, Wash., daughters, Lelah Allison of Winterset and Marjorie Stephey of Woodstock, Ill., and a step-daughter, Lois Clemons of Seattle, Washington.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a stepson, four brothers and two sisters.
