Connie Lea Simpson, 68, of Gainesville, MO passed away April 2, 2020 in Nixa, MO surrounded by family. She was born May 23, 1951 in West Plains, MO to Rudolph Clarence and Louise Maxine (Stillions) Martin.
Connie was a 1969 graduate of Gainesville High School. She grew up in Tecumseh and moved to Gainesville in the mid 1980’s. She spent many years serving the community as an income maintenance supervisor with Ozark County Family Services and helped many families. She was a kind, loving and sweet mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, & friend. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two children Brian K. Simpson and wife Nancy of Nixa, MO, Tina L. Frieze and husband Terry of Gainesville, MO; three grandchildren Stone and Harper Jane Simpson of Nixa, MO and Weston Frieze of Gainesville, MO; one sister Myra Sissell and husband James; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Louise Martin; one brother Phillip Martin; and one sister Lola Tomaszeuski.
Due to the current health risks associated with large gatherings, a come and go visitation will be held Monday, April 6, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. A graveside service will be Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at 2 p.m. in the Clear Springs Cemetery, Dawt, MO. The family asks for memorial contributions to be made to American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
