Donna Lee Moss, 73, of Independence, MO, passed away April 2, 2020
at Centerpoint Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Moss was born March 5, 1947, in Independence and lived in the
area her entire life. She worked as a nurse at the federal jail
in Leavenworth, Kansas for 21 years until she retired. She was an
outspoken and honest person who was never afraid to be herself. She
enjoyed sketching with pencils, dining out and going to the movies. Donna
was a devout Christian who attended Maywood Baptist Church and was known
to say "I am God's brat, I am that!" She loved praying for people and
also worked as a telephone prayer for Unity Village for awhile. If you told her
that you loved her, she always responded with "I love you more!" She was
dearly loved and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her two children, Larry D. Moss, Jr. and Angela L.
Moss, both of Independence, MO; four grandchildren: Jeremiah Bryant of
Kansas City, MO, Laura Burns of Smithville, MO, Katie Teideman of
Independence, MO, and David Bryant of Osceola, MO;
fourteen great-grandchildren; her brother Jimmy Newell of Licking, MO;
and numerous other family, friends and carers. She is predeceased by her biological
mother Pauline Clark, her brother Danny Ray Newell, her sister Kathleen
Newell, an aunt/sister/best friend, Ruth Voyles, and
a great-granddaughter Jessica Ridgeway.
