Obituary for Verna L. Cooper
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Matriarch, Verna Louise Cooper. Born September 30,1949 to Henry and Marilyn( Timmons) Broshious. She married Vernon Cooper on December 24, 1977. She was a loving and caring woman who loved her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Verna loved the color purple and her favorite animal was Elephants. She was known to all her great grandchildren as Gigi and was proud of that title. She is survived by her only daughter Stacy Zervos of Peoria, Illinois, who devoted her life caring for Verna. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Regina(GinaBug)(Ryan) Brake of Fort Hood Tx, Elizabeth(Punkie)( Anthony, aka TeddyBear) Duncan of Peoria Ill, Christoffer(Peanut)Mills of Sandusky Ohio, Angelica(JellyBelly)(Matt) Estes of Kennett Mo, and Ben Miller of Salem Mo, Great grandchildren, Lorne, Angel, and Vanessa Duncan of Peoria Ill, Gary Beyer, Carlena Miller-Walther, and Matthew Estes Jr. and lastly by her honorary family, Joe and Glenda Williams of Peoria Ill. Proceeding her in death are her parents, Henry and Marilyn Broshious, her husband Vernon, Her only son Leslie Broshious, her brother Michael Benner, Great granddaughter and two sisters. There will be no funeral service at Verna's request, as she wished to be cremated. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked that any and all donations be made to Stacy Zervos for Cremation services.
