On August 15, 1992, Mitch was united in marriage to Teryna Lynn Jennings.
Over the next four decades Mitch worked with his hands. He was a talented carpenter who framed several hundred homes throughout the Kansas City Metro and around Rolla, MO where most of his large family lives. He also enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, arrowhead hunting, Chiefs football watching and was very passionate about his love for music which he passed along to all three of his children. Mitch was loved by all who encountered him as he never knew a stranger and was a gifted conversationalist sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face. He was well known for his famous sayings whose origins remain unknown. Mitch was a truly unique human who was grateful for the life he had worked for and the large family he was blessed with. Mitch Wells was a man of whit, integrity, loyalty, and compassion. He will be greatly missed.

Mitch is survived by his mother and father, Donna and Harry Coplin; wife, Teryna Wells, 3 children and their partners, Jennifer Nolan (Brent Nolan), Chad Jennings (Amanda Gibbs) and Tasarah Wells (Matthew Starr); 7 grandchildren, Isaac, Daria, Will, Taylor, Oliver, Thomas and Sophie; 5 siblings, Shelly Gorman (Johnny), Kaylan Friend (Danny), Leslie Coverdell, Mike Wells (Kelly) and Carla Dixon. A host of aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mitch is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Eugene and Nina Hontz.
Cremation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at his home at a later date.
