David A. Barger, 54, of Asheville died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Charles George VA Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was son of the late Patricia Justice Sircey and Ralph Barger of Ball Ground, GA. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Barger.
David was a US Navy veteran. He served as an associate pastor of Calvary Chapel Asheville, where he worked in the prison ministry which he found so dear to his heart.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Donna Barger of LaGrange, GA; brothers, John Barger of Farmington, UT and Bill Barger of Mills River and two daughters.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, June 21, 2013 at Calvary Chapel with Pastor Billy Osigian officiating.
