Coy D. “Grady” Cooke, 77 of Clayton passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 4, 2017. Grady was born in Archer Lodge on December 30, 1939 to Coy and Stella Cooke. Grady was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He had of love of little league baseball/softball and umpired for many years. He was a wonderful caregiver to his wife, Boonie, and mother-in-law, Nancy Watson. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by: Parents: Coy Dale Cooke and Stella Grey Liles Cooke Wife: Flora “Boonie” Cooke Sisters: Madeline Cooke and Doris Wilder Brothers: Wilbur Cooke, Harry Cooke, Silas Cooke, Archie Cooke, and Roy Cooke His beloved dachshund, Ginger, who was his special companion and best friend.
