JOHN P. SMITH
(1866 - 1941)

John P. Smith, 75, former Aluminum Goods Mfg. Co. and Eggers company employe at Two Rivers, died at 8:05 o'clock this morning in Manitowoc. He had been in failing health for the past three years.

Funeral services will be held at Two Rivers Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Klein & Stangel Inc., funeral home with the Rev. F. E. Schlueter of the Emanuel Evangelical church officiating. Interment will be in Forest View cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born in Vermont Aug. 20, 1866 and came to Wisconsin with his parents when a boy, settling at Kaukauna. Later he lived in Michigan and Montana and in 1912 he returned to Wisconsin, living at Butternut seven years before moving to Two Rivers in 1919.

He married Miss Henrietta Seafert who died seven years after their marriage. After her death he married Miss Emma Seafert who died in 1933. From 1919 to 1936 the Smiths made their home in Two Rivers after which they made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Berman, Two Rivers route 2.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Berman; one son, Clifford R. Smith of Lakeland, Fla.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Edward Eberhardt, Butternut; two step-sons, Harry Hartway of Two Rivers and Carl Hartway of Park Falls; and three sisters, Miss Lucretia Smith, Mrs. Arthur Rogers and Mrs. Ernst Callison, all of Omro.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
