THOMAS, Dale William “Bill”, lost his battle with ALS on Monday, March 30, 2020. Bill is survived by his wife Linda “Lynn”; his children Bill Jr. (Pamela), Duane (Kasi), Shawn (Sabrina), Natalie (Sean), and Allyssa (Nathan); his siblings Virginia, Bob, and Charlene; loving grandfather to Toni, Kourtney, Madison, Jacob, Jordan, Trey, Ceaira, Brynlee, Scarlett, Phillip, Caden and Benjamin; great grandfather of Haley.

Bill was born on August 29, 1946, the second child of four to Kenneth Thomas and Audrey Porter in New Martinsville, WV. Bill was drafted into the United States Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam. He would say that “freedom isn’t free and it in fact, it cost some people everything.”

He loved playing golf, fishing, and anything NASCAR. Bill was the proverbial salesman, he often said that he would have done that job for free if he could’ve afforded it. Bill was also best known for cooking, and always set out to top his previous entre’. He will be greatly missed until we meet again.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, services will be limited to private invitation only at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston. The family appreciates your understanding at this difficult time. Services will include visitation, family led rosary followed by a Funeral Service. Private family burial with committal prayers at All Saints Cemetery, Clarkston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association.
