Singer. She began her career as a teenager appearing in the Broadway hit, "Hair" and later sang with the cast in "Jesus Christ Super Star". During the disco era of the 1970s, she was signed to RCA Records, recording the albums "Never Gonna Let You" (1976), "Vicki Sue Robinson" (1976), "Half and Half" (1978) and "Movin' On" (1979). Her biggest success came with the Top Ten hit "Turn the Beat Around" (1976), for which she was nominated a Grammy Award for Best Pop Female. She also appeared in the films "Going Home" (1971) and "To Find a Man" (1972).
