Kagele Rites Held July 18 at Ritzville.

Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon for George Kagele at Zion Congregational church with the Rev. R. W. Rieger officiating.

He was born Dec. 19, 1914, in Ritzville and attended Ritzville schools.

Surviving are his wife, Doris; one daughter, Karyl Jean; two sons, George, jr., and Billy, at the home; four brothers, Jake Kagele, jr., and Fred Kagele of Ritzville, William Kagele of Cheney and John Kagele of Odessa, and
one sister, Mrs. Katherine Marisch of Spokane.

Mr. Kagele was a veteran of World War II, a member of the C. J. Newland American Legion Post No. 51, 40 et8, a state director of the TB association and a member of Zion Congregational church.

Six nephews served as pallbearers. They were Lewis Kagele, James Kagele, Norman Kagele, Dick Kagele, Melvin Kagele and Gene Kagele.

Graveside services were conducted by American Legion post of Spokane.

Burial was made in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery.

Kagele's body was found on a road about 7 miles outside of Ritzville by Mr. and Mrs. William Stockman. County coroner E. R. Whitmore, jr., said death apparently was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Danekas and Duncan funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
