Florence A. Albrecht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Albrecht, of Oakley, Kas., died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Miller of Ellis, Kans., Sunday afternoon July 31, 1904, at the age of 9 months and 15 days. Mr. and Mrs. Albrecht brought their baby to Ellis some six weeks ago to give it special medical attention, but in spite of medical skill, and all that loving hands could do, it gradually grew worse until the end came.
The funeral services were conducted by Elder R. W. Woodside of Marion Kans., at the Congregational church after which the baby was laid to rest beside a baby brother in Mount Hope cemetery.
The floral offerings were large and beautiful, besides some personal memorials that are worthy of special mention there were very beautiful and appropriate floral memorials from the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Degree of Honor.
A sister of Mrs. Albrecht's Mrs. J. F. Teeters and daughter of Oakley, Kans., attended the funeral.
Life's fragrance may not be as sweet
Because a flower is gone,
But Heaven will be dearer far,
For the presence of this little one.
In that land where the sun sets not,
And God's will is always done,
May our reward be as secure
As the reward for these little ones.
