Mrs. Beverly Jane Summers, 50, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Mercy Hospital Joplin, surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was born on December 29, 1969 in Carthage, Missouri to the union of the late Kenneth and Joyce (Ficher) Patrick. She was a 1988 graduate of Sarcoxie High School. She later furthered her education, earning her Associate Degree. On March 31, 1986 she was united in marriage to James Summers, Sr. Together they shared thirty-four years. For several years she worked as a cashier for Express Truck Stop in Sarcoxie. She had also worked for Diamond Fire Department and a First Responder for Newton County. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and always had a bag of candy for them. She also enjoyed parks, care riding and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Patrick; sister, Saundra Patrick; sister-in-law, Teresa Patrick; and niece Kelsee Patrick.
Beverly is survived by her husband, James, of the home; children; Elizabeth Blunkall (Brandon) Springfield, Alice Michael (Nick) of Granby, James Summers, Jr. (Lacey) of Sarcoxie and Saundra Dunham (Terry) of Jasper; grandchildren, Jaden Blunkall, Athena Blunkall, Hunter Virture, Dakota Virture, Michael Nyx, Bentley Summers, Gabriella Dunham, Bryce Dunham and Natalia Dunham; several adopted grandchildren; eleven siblings; her little dog Pinkey; as well as a host of other family and friends.
