Dorothy A. (Bourbeau) Bowden, 82, lifelong Lynn resident, died Saturday February 8, 2020 after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn to the late Leo and Grace (Gorham) Bourbeau, Dorothy was a 1956 graduate of Lynn English High School. She was the loving wife of the late Robert L. Bowden, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Dorothy worked as a clerk for several telecommunication companies for many years, ultimately retiring from Verizon. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, crafting, dancing, singing, and playing Bingo at the Knights of Columbus. Most importantly, she loved being surrounded by her family, especially spending time together on New Year’s Eve.
Dorothy is survived by her 5 children; Richard Bowden and his wife Carol of Seabrook, NH , Laurence Bowden and his wife Stephanie of Lynn, Cheryl Pescia and her husband Steven of Londonderry, NH, Ronald Bowden and his wife Dianna of Northwood, NH, Daniel Bowden and his wife Tara of Methuen, 12 grandchildren; Christopher and his wife Kayleen, Sarah and her husband Spencer, Jacqueline, Benjamin, Jillian, Jason and his wife Brittany, Andrew and his wife Kelsey, Christina and her fiancé Christopher, Tyler, Taylor “Missy”, Michael and Ashley , two great grandchildren; Julian and Josephine, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Gene Bourbeau.
