A resident of Cambridge for the past 40 years, Mr. Hibbard was a writer and a teacher in the Boston and Cambridge school systems. He was an Air Force veteran and a graduate of Brandeis University. He was also a YMCA referee for basketball, baseball and soccer in youth sports programs. He was a Boston sports fan, particularly of the Boston Red Sox, and liked poetry and literature.
Calling hours were June 30 with a memorial service at Douglass Funeral Home. Interment is private.
