Samuel E. Carroll, 65, a resident of Theodore, AL, passed away October 23, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation was Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Hartman- Jones Funeral Home, 1801 Delaware Ave. McComb, MS. Visitation will resume again on Wednesday October 25, 2017 from 12 Noon until services at 1 PM at the funeral home. Dr. David Millican will officiate and burial will be in Moaks Creek Cemetery.

Samuel was born November 25, 1951 in Summit, MS to the late Henry and Ruby Roberts Carroll.

Samuel was a Supervisor in the Oil Industry, served in the National Guard and was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grand and great-grandfather. He was a godly man who loved to golf and to pick and pull pranks on his family. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Robert E. “Soda” Carroll, Jimmy G. Carroll, Michael E. Carroll and Jeff Carroll; two sisters, Dollie M. Mooney and Kathleen Carroll Reeves.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth B. Carroll, one daughter, Tanya Bishop (Billy) three brothers, James Carroll (Christine) of Baker, LA., Eddie Carroll of Smithdale and Tommy Carroll of Summit; three sisters, Faye Wallace (LeLand), Betty Roberts, and Frances Carlisle (Glenn) all of Summit, three grandchildren, Kristan Carroll and fiancé, Curtis Jernigan, Cora Lynch and Elizabeth Lynch, one great-grandchild, Samuel Jernigan with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Jernigan, Michael G. Brown, Billy Bishop, Jason Carroll, Doug Carlisle and Jamie Carroll.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Wallace, Daniel Murphy and Greg Carroll.
