Jay G. Simpson, 62, of Lowell, AR died Tues, Dec 28, 1999 at his home. He was born July 17, 1937 in Bentonville, Ark, to Garlen B. Simpson and Bertha M. Stears Simpson. He was a graduate of Rogers High School. He was owner of the Lowell Sand and Gravel Co. He was member of the Springdale Elk's Lodge and was an avid gardner.
Survivors include two sons, Ricky Simpson of Springdale, Ark, and Randy Simpson of Lowell; three daughters, Michelle Canon of Booneville. Ark and Holly Phillips and Julie Simpson, both of Bentonville, Ark; a stepdaughter, Denise Hershey of Siloam Springs, Ark; two sisters, Sandra Whisler of Independence, MO and Sharron Whisler of Blue Springs, MO and nine grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec 31, at the Spring Creek Cemetery in Lowell with arrangements by Blackstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Bentonville.
