She was born December 26, 1931, the daughter of George and Sophia (Pelnar) Riemer. Marilyn was a graduate of York High School and was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked in such places as the Illinois Eye Center in Peoria, the Hinsdale Health Clinic, and Elmhurst Hospital providing loving care in each patient interaction. She enjoyed her nursing career and in making a difference in people’s lives.
Marilyn was a loving, caring woman with a great sense of humor. Her family meant the world to her. Her sisters were her best friends and they remained close all their lives. The families were all very close and were known as the ABC’s (Anderson, Broucek, Conley). Her greatest joy came from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her children, daughters, Mary C Ballay, Deborah S (James)Tracy, Diane M Henricks, Kathleen T (Terry) Wilson; and sons, Kenneth E Anderson, and John (Sherry) Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Dawn Osterman Anderson; her grandchildren, Michael (Julie) Howland, Sharon (Brian) Way, David Howland, Matthew Tracy, Megan (Jeff) Cooperman, Ted Henricks, Amy Henricks, Jake (Kersti) Anderson, Allison (Michael) Zupancik, Demariee Anderson, Kimberly Anderson, Christianna Blake (John Boecker), Hunter Blake (Mackenzie Knopf), Gabrielle Blake, Annalise Blake; great-grandchildren, Josiah Howland, Sierra Howland, Calla Way, Nicolas Way, William Way, Connor Howland, Lauren Cooperman, Paul Anderson, Lars Anderson, Mackenzie Zupancik, and Kinsley Boecker; husband, Harry Edwards; and his children, Tom and Laura Edwards, Sandy Edwards and Liz Zilis, Robert Edwards; her sisters, Dolores Conley, Janet Broucek; and brother Paul Riemer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel J. Anderson; her daughter Cheryl A Anderson; and husband, Kenneth E. Anderson; and brother, Robert J.L. Riemer.
