William "Billy" L. Gorczynski, of Mason, Ohio, gained his angel wings on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at the age of 22. He was born Saturday, January 24, 1998 in Toms River, New Jersey to William J. and Madelynne (nee Metzger) Gorczynski.

As Cadet 1st Class, Billy was Captain within his squadron at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. He enjoyed playing baseball and was on the club team at the Academy. A graduate of Moeller High School, Billy excelled in cross country and bowling. With a smile that could light up the darkest room, Billy was quick to make friends. He was a friend that everyone could depend on. He will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.

Billy was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Louis P. and Sophia Ann (nee Kopervas) Metzger.

Billy is survived by: parents, William J. and Madelynne Gorczynski; brothers, Joshua and Jarrod Gorczynski; paternal grandparents, William F. and Christine V. (nee Olejniczak) Gorczynski; aunt, Mary (Bob) LeVan; uncles, Louis John (Connie) Metzger and Christopher (Jill) Metzger; 9 cousins; and many loving family members and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately for the family at St. Susanna Catholic Church. Service day and time are currently pending.
