Jeanette Roe Evans, 73, of Valdosta, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Earlton, FL on December 29, 1946 to the late Amburs Roe and Velma Beatrice White Koon. She was a retired Lowndes County School Bus Driver for over 30 years. Mrs. Evans attended Redland Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, cooking and canning. She liked going to flea markets and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Mrs. Evans is survived by her daughter Sharon (Tommy) Tapley; her grandchildren Amanda (Zach) Ceremelli, Stephanie (Jon) Rider, Justin (Danette) Evans, Tiffany Evans and Hunter White; her great grandchildren Chandler, Gage, Aubrey, Lizzy, JJ, Annabelle, Lillian, and Taya; a sister in law Patricia Roe; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Edwin Evans, a daughter Shannon Boyette, a brother Vernon Amburs Roe, and a sister Shirley Ann Raines.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Hickory Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to be made to UF Health Shands Hospital, Gynological Cancer Program, P.O.
