Joy Barnes passed away March 24, 2020 in Lockport Rehab & Health Care Center. Born August 8, 1934 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Charles and Eleanor (Pritchard) Norway.
Joy worked for Ridge Road Express where she was a bus driver for over 30 years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, traveling with her friends, going to the casino, and especially loved cooking for her family.
Joy was predeceased by her husband, Donald Barnes on December 17, 2001.
Joy is survived by her children, Deborah Hale, Stephen (Kim) Barnes and late Jeffrey Barnes; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lexi) Barnes and Shannon (Jeffrey) English; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Barnes, Tyler English, Ethan Barnes, Sydney Barnes and Lily Barnes; predeceased by siblings, Ronald Norway and Shirley Berube.
Private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY would be appreciated.
