Mr. McCullough was a retired painter and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby McCullough; and his father, Van C. McCullough.

He was survived by his longtime companion, Patricia E. Howard of Liberty, MS; his mother, Lucille Edwards McCullough Blount of Jackson, LA; five brothers, Van D. McCullough of Ruth, MS, W. B. "Doug" McCullough of Summit, MS, David Ray McCullough of Kentwood, LA, Michael D. McCullough of San Bernardino, CA and Charles McCullough of McComb, MS; seven sisters, Idell Anglin of Summit, MS, Juanita Wells and Elaine Bacot, both of McComb, MS, Judy Boyd of Lomita, CA, Mary Frances Gill of Kentwood, LA, Margie Hutson of Baton Rouge, LA and Vivian Herrin of Marion, SC; numerous nieces and nephews.
