Louise Baker, of Wellington, died on Saturday, March 28, 2020, in Derby at the age of 88. Louise was born the daughter of William T. and Laura R. (Cowen) Bowman on Saturday, July 4, 1931, in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas. On April 1, 1950, she and Rev. Hoyle D. Baker were united in marriage in Depew, Oklahoma. Together they celebrated 61 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. Louise and her husband served as a Pastor and Pastor’s wife in many communities for many years.

Her faithfulness to the Lord and her church were hallmarks of her life. Once settled in Wellington, Louise worked as a secretary for many years at Stalcup Realtors. Louise enjoyed playing cards, her favorite game was Phase 10 (she wasn’t a good loser) and she was a dedicated fan of the Price Is Right to the point of scheduling appointments around its showing. She will be missed greatly by her loving family.

Survivors include her children: Patricia McNutt and her husband Paul of Concordia, Marsha Redford and her husband Ivan of Wellington, Deborah Reynard and her husband Bill of Grove, Oklahoma, Judy Bickford and her husband Larry of Wellington and Lori Nordyke (Steve Lott) of Minneapolis; 12 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild with one more on the way; two brothers, Art and Harold Bowman and a sister, Shirley Moss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Bill, Charles, and Carl Bowman and sisters, Imogene Riggs, Edna Vickers and Margaret Conner and her son-in-law, Roger Weber.

A private graveside service will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Wellington.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in her name and loving memory with ChildHope. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.

Arrangements by Cornejo | Day Funeral Home & Crematory, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington 67152.
