Patricia (Patsy) Ann (Morton) Cargill was born February 1, 1951 to Billy Lynn and Zora (Wright) Morton in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. She died in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 27, 2020.

Patsy was a 1969 graduate of Stilwell High School and began college that same year at Northeastern State College. At Northeastern, in 1969, she met Michael R. Cargill. They married in 1972. They both graduated from Northeastern, he with a degree in economics and she in elementary education. Her career was homemaker and mother. His career was with Sherwin Williams working in Okmulgee, Muskogee, Houston, and Oklahoma City. She and the family were part of that career. When the children grew older, she worked at Putnam City North High School as everyone’s favorite lunch lady. In 2012, they both retired and moved to Stilwell. They attended The Church of Christ in Stilwell. Patsy is survived by her husband Michael R. Cargill of the home in Stilwell, and their children and grandchildren: Cara Lea Cargill of McKinney, TX and her daughter Zoë Goodman, student/athlete at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and her father Wes Goodman of McKinney, Texas; Michael C. Cargill and wife Margaret of Oklahoma City; Daniel Cargill of Oklahoma City; Cate Benge, husband Mark and son George of Tulsa.

Patsy is also survived by two sisters: Lynda Hagar of Stilwell and Joyce Starr, with husband David, of Tulsa and two brothers: Stephen Morton of Stilwell and Stanley Morton, with wife Connie, of Van Buren, AR. Two sisters-in-law: Kathy Moores, with husband Gary, of Eufaula, OK and Patti Habeger, with husband Philip, of Okmulgee, OK. Also brother-in-law Monroe Nickell of Omaha, Nebraska.

Nieces and nephews: Holly, Wade and Will Morton, Brittany Sanders, Hannah Morton; Emily and Jeremy Goucher, with their children Garon and Claire, and Karol Starr; Doug Morton and Nicole Morton. Also: Mike and Lynn Nickell, with daughter Micah; Ange Nickell, with sons Killian and Keenan McGrew; and Alison Habeger. Patsy is also survived by her uncle Neil Morton, his wife Patsy, and their children: Camille Stevenson, Shawna Cain, with husband Roger, and Nason Morton, with wife Ashlee.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Billy Lynn and Zora Morton, and in-laws Charles and Maxine Cargill.

Patsy leaves behind other relatives and many friends. She will be remembered for her ability to tell a good story and for making all feel welcome and accepted.
