Andrea (Andi) Dawn Cole, 54, of Findlay passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020 peacefully at her residence. She was born on May 1, 1965 in Findlay to Larry and Carol (Sizemore) Cole, and they survive. Also surviving are her daughter, Taylor (Jordan) Barton; grandchildren: Emory and Wyatt Cole Barton; sister, Kristen (Les) Carrender; and two nieces: Kasey Carrender and Hilary (Joshua) Jackson. Andrea graduated from Liberty Center High School and worked as a claims processor at Health Designs Plus. Andrea was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Of all these roles, there is none she enjoyed more than being a GiGi to her 2 grandchildren. Some of her best days were spent running and playing with her granddaughter Emory, or “Em" as Andi called her. A talented painter, Andrea enjoyed painting all kinds of things, especially at painting clay pots. Her art would often be given as gifts to the ones she loved. Andi loved the Lord and believed wholeheartedly in His healing hand. Andrea was blessed by our Lord and the healings she received throughout her life are a testament to His goodness. Andrea loved Ohio State football, any football really. She would even watch rerun games just so she could watch it. She yelled so loud for a touchdown cheer, it could have been heard easily from Mars. 4th of July fireworks were the most anticipated event of the year for Andrea. She never missed the spectacle, even if she had to drive far away to view them. Her family imagines that she was probably welcomed home with a grand finale. The beach was Andi’s happy place. She could scour the beach for hours just to relax, feel the warmth, search, and dream. She had aspirations of living near Charleston, South Carolina someday. Andrea was a loyal friend to many. She was kind and giving to all no matter the circumstance. This is a trait she has passed on to her daughter as well as several other valuable things. Family was number one for Andi. She put everyone else before herself until the day she passed. Andi’s nieces and daughter knew that she was their biggest fan. Andi was the first person people called when they had good news, just to get a loud, “Woooo!" Her dogs, Yankee and Moose, were her devoted companions. They brought her joy and friendship every day until her passing. Andrea had a wonderful sense of humor. She was able to make those around her laugh due to her ability to be unapologetically herself. She could be quoted as saying, “I am who I am and I like myself.” Of all of her accomplishments in life, her daughter was her greatest accomplishment, and she told her that often. She will be greatly missed and cherished in our hearts forever. Due to the governor’s orders on Covid-19, all services will be private and the burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. Memorials can be directed to the Lupus Foundation of America in her memory.
