SARA'S OBITUARY
Sara F. Davelaar was born March 22, 1932 to William and Willie Day Braly in Henderson, Tennessee. She passed away at home in Tacoma, Washington on June 19, 2019 at the age of 87.
Sara graduated from high school in Henderson, Tennessee and worked at the Shirt Factory after high school. She played basketball in high school and for the Shirt Factory. Sara married Gordon Davelaar on April 23, 1952 and later they moved to Tacoma where she worked as a cook for the Tacoma School District for 25 years.
Sara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon and by her siblings, Samuel, Edwin, and Mary Lou. She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah (William) Zavadil and Pamela; and honorary son, Randy; sister, Nona Sue; and numerous nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, June 28, 2019 at New Tacoma Cemetery's Chambers Creek Chapel, 9221 Chambers Creek Rd W, University Place, WA.
