Pantagraph (Bloomington, IL) - April 4, 2020

Note: Greg's ashes were buried in his father's gravesite and each has their headstone

Some ashes were scattered in a family memorial at HoHum Acres, the homestead of his grandparents, on October 10, 2020. The service started with a family recitation:
Your presence we miss, Greg.
Your memory we treasure, Greg.
Greg, we will Love you always,
And we will not forget you.
Amen.

Two poems were read: "Success" by Bessie A Stanley and "Miss Me But Let Me Go" by Christina Rossetti.

After his ashes were scattered, "Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust" from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer was read in closing: "Forasmuch as it hath pleased almighty God in His great mercy to take unto Himself the soul of Greg, our nephew and cousin, here departed, we, therefore, commit his ashes to this ground that he, Tom, Grandpa and we love; earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust; in sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life, through our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall change the earthly body, that it may be like His glorious body, according to His mighty works and promises."
