Greene, Judith S., 82, passed away on July 16th, in Spring Hill, FL Our beloved Judy was loved and adored by all. Born in Brooklyn, NY. on April 15, 1932. She graduated Midwood High School and received her Bachelor's Degree from Brooklyn College. Moving to Miami in 1951, she earned her Master's Degree from the University of Miami and her Ed.D from Southeastern Nova University. She retired after 30 years from the Dade County Public School System as an Area Director of Secondary Schools and also earned the distinction of being the first woman senior high school principal in Dade County at Miami Edison Senior High School in 1973.
She was a 22 year resident of Spring Hill, where she became the charter president of the Rotary Club of Spring Hill Central. She helped in the formation of People Helping People in Hernando and was a Board Member Emeritas and has also served as a lay rabbi at Temple Beth David.
She is survived by her loving husband/soulmate of 62+ years, Mel Greene; daughter, Debbie Greene Koenig (Bill) of Spring Hill, Fl; son, Daniel J. Greene (LaGena) of Charlotte, NC; granddaughter, Barbara Koenig Wolf (Chris) and great-grandchildren, Miranda and Maverick.
She will be greatly missed and always in our hearts.
Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at 11:00am at Temple Beth David, 13158 Antelope, Spring Hill, FL 34609.
Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Foundation, 12242 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville, FL 34613. Brewer FH
