Attorney who founded the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock. His epitaph reads: "President of the American Bar Association and Ambassador to the Hague Peace Conference. He was one of the nation's greatest lawyers. He was distinguished for his public and private virtues, for vast and varied learning, for the felicity of his diction, and by a charm of manner that won the hearts of men." A statue of Rose represents Arkansas in the U.S. Capitol's Statuary Hall.
