Gladys Irene Drury died on June 25, 2007, at the age of 86 years. She was born near Elgin on November 28, 1920. Irene was a daughter of Lonnie and Mattie Gage. She married Harry Drury on March 18, 1939. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, and four brothers. Irene was a member of the Creedmoor Chapter of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, served as Mother Advisor in the Rainbow Girls, and a member of the Austin Apartment Association. Irene is survived by her children, Patsy Drury and husband, James Hejl; Barbara Drury Alpi; and Bobby Glenn Drury. She is survived by six grandchildren and their spouses, and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Teri Rd Baptist Church, 1844 Teri Rd, Austin, with service beginning at 11:00 a.m., burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery.
