John worked for Diamond Chrome Plating in Howell for over 40 years. He lived in the area for 55 years, and outside work was his love. He gardened and was always on his tractor, working and puttering.
He is survived by his children, John Pratt, Jr. of Remus, MI, Sherry (Rick) Birchmeier of Pinckney, Marion (Kirk) Aldrich of Chelsea, and Stephen (Monica) Pratt of Pinckney; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Viola Creighan of Florida.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, and grandson, Michael C. Aldrich.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at Pinckney Cemetery, Pinckney, with Pastor Adam Summers officiating. Funeral Directors are following current CDC recommendations during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and those in attendance will be instructed accordingly.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
